It’s a fact of life; things just keep on getting more expensive. From gas to food to housing costs, it seems that you have to spend more and more money to get the same things. What you could afford a few years ago or maybe even last year might now be out of your price range. Consumers are faced with the mission of finding the best value for their money, something that is no easy task. Price increases seem to be across the board in every sector. Manufacturing in New York is failing to grow per projections due mostly to rising costs of raw materials. You may have read about Kodak’s decision to add a surcharge to some of its products to offset the increases in prices of silver, and, to a lesser extent, petroleum and pulp. Silver is a major ingredient in Kodak’s photofinishing products (including the paper AdoramaPix uses for printing!). What does this mean for you, the AdoramaPix customer? If the surcharges begin to affect us negatively, we may have to raise prices. This is not a certainty, and we’ll definitely keep you posted on any plans we have for raising prices. As it stands now, our prices are stable and our quality is unmatched (as usual!), so you can continue to order with confidence. -Ingrid
Photo Book news added 3/4/2011 11:56:04 AM
Hey guys, We've had to raise the prices on most of the photo books. You know we hate doing this, so we're putting all the photo books on SALE until the 15th! Prices have already been adjusted on the site, so if you want to finish a book you already started, start to make one, or buy some prepaid books in your favorite size, do it now! Sale prices are valid until the 15th of March.
New book features and more on the way! added 10/18/2010 3:01:13 PM
We're working on improving PixPublisher, our online book creation and editing program. We've added easier ways to line up your images and other elements on your book pages. There's a new "snap to" feature that makes it very easy to center an image on the page. Take your mouse and drag the image to near the center of the page; a vertical line will appear when the image is at the center of the page vertically, a horizontal line will appear when it's at the center of the image horizontally. Two intersecting lines will appear, like a cross-hairs, when the image is at the center of the page. In other news, you can now upload images from SmugMug, Phanfare and Photobucket directly to your book. There's another round of improvements scheduled for next week, so stay tuned for more awesomeness! -Ingrid
New! Bulk prices for photo books! added 10/5/2010 4:49:22 PM
